The Year That Was 2010...

Happy New Year!! This year I have decided to keep a blog in order to document what our family gets up to & keep track of Boston & Montana!! So the year that was...2010 started with us spending 3 weeks down at Busselton with friends & family!! Such a great time to relax & enjoy good company. Anthony got his dive ticket & skippers ticket. Boston & I just chillaxed, doing nothing in particular & eating well...

Time sped by & next thing we knew it was our baby boys 1st birthday (11/6/10)!! Can’t believe how quick that time went!! Boston had a great little party at our local park with wonderful friends & family!! He was totally spoilt, which resulted in a trip to ikea to buy a new toy box!!

Next was our ski trip to Mt Hotham in August with the other Walker’s, Shotter’s, Ackland’s, Norwood’s and Bernie & Talitha!! We all had such a great time! Boston loved the snow. We built a snowman & went tobboganing. Anthony was snow-boarding, which he enjoyed as did everyone else so long as they stayed out of his way!! He did have a run in with a rock in which he came out second best but other than that not too bad! I was pregnant & not being a proficient snowboarder thought it prudent to stay off the slopes! I relaxed in our amazing apartment or headed into the village to watch the others while sipping hot chocolate!! We got to do a bit of tripping around either side of our ski week including Wangaratta, Glenrowen (Ned Kelly Town), Beechworth & Melbourne. I went to see Mary Poppins the musical with Jodee & Karen which was amazing!! Then we all went to the football at the MCG to watch Geelong vs Collingwood! Sadly Collingwood won :( Boston did really well on his first plane trip & had the hostess’s wrapped around his little finger. He must of spent at least 1/2 an hour with them and then still didn’t want to come back to us!!

The day after returning from Melbourne we had Karen & Tom come for a visit followed by Uncle Graham & Aunty Dot a few days later. We went for a whirlwind trip down south including; Albany, Augusta, Busselton & the farm. It was such a great time hanging out with family & such a shame we all live so far away!

Then on November 19th the big event of the year occurred!! The much anticipated arrival of our baby girl Montana Rose Walker!!! We were so excited to have a girl & Boston thought she was pretty good too. He give her lots of cuddles & kisses. He’s a great big brother & makes sure I don’t forget her when we go out by pointing at her & making noises!! Life has changed considerably but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

So Christmas was spent with family in a very relaxed fashion which was perfect! Our Santa photo tradition started the previous year with Boston did not go as smoothly this year as our usually gregarious little boy did not what a bar of Santa!! Daddy had to be part of the photo & I had to settle for a concerned expression rather than his usual cheeky smile!! Montana was fine munching on Santa’s beard!!
