UK Holiday Part 3

Northern Ireland and the Antrim Coast were amazing. We saw the Giant’s Causeway and the Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge. The rope bridge looked innocent enough until actually crossing it where the wind picked up and you felt like you were going to be blown off into the ocean. I really didn’t want to come back across it!!! SCARY!! We continued our trip in Belfast where we took a black taxi tour which was an eye opening experience!! Then down to the Mourne Mountains before cutting across to Ennis and the Cliffs of Moher. It was too foggy to see the cliffs so we found a really great pub in fact we went to this pub twice!! We drove on to Killarney which is the gateway to the Ring of Kerry where we found some spectacular scenery. The Lakes of Killarney was another gem.

UK Holiday Part 2

The second week of holidays was spent mainly in Scotland. We drove from Norfolk up through the Yorkshire Dales to Edinburgh. We visited Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, the statue of Robert the Bruce in Bannockburn, Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. Such a trip through history left me in awe. We then caught a ferry from Ardrossan to Brodick and the Ilse of Aran. This was my most favourite place! The photos above are of Brodick Castle and a coastal ruin. Aran was magical with the most stunning and diverse scenery. We then moved on to Troon and after a days delay were on our way to Larne and Northern Island.

UK Holiday Part 1

We had such a fabulous UK holiday with our little family, mum & dad and all the Lowe Clan. Kaz and Tommy made the trip special. We spent a few days in London before heading up to Norfolk for wedding preparations. We stayed in the most amazing place called Burnt Fen. The house is in the above photo overlooking a pond complete with rickety row boat!! Boston thought it was great as there were heaps of ducks, geese, guinea fowl and swans to follow around. We spent a week relaxing and catching up with family. Visited many cute villages and had lunch in lots of quaint pubs! The week as capped off with Kaz and Tommy’s splendid English wedding. Such a lovely day and the bride looked gorgeous!
